District Independence Rally

On Tuesday February 16, 2016 students from all the school of District Four attending a rally to mark the country’s 37th anniversary of independence.  Students, teachers, principals, parents and specially invited guests gathered at the Marigot Secondary School Auditorium for the celebrations.

Attendees were treated with harmonious singing, graceful dancing and comical poetry pieces.  They also enjoyed lovely pan music played by the Marigot Secondary School students.  The Anse La Raye Infant and Primary School for the first time had a joint choir putting up a rendition of the song “Let There Be Love”.   Voices were very well blended.

Students listened to encouraging words from the speakers.  They were encouraged to do well at school and play their part to become active citizens who contribute positively to the country’s development.  The day ended with usual march past of schools around the parking area.  All schools were provided with refreshments for students afterwards.
